JOHN HUME

John received a Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1974 and his Chartered Accountant degree in 1976. John moved to Sarnia in 1978 to work in the petro chemical industry. In 1982 John founded the practice. John has extensive experience in all areas of public accounting and is semi-retired but servicing a small group of clients.

ANNETTE LITTLE

Annette Little, Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant, Licensed Public Accountant was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario. She joined the firm, Hume & Johnston, in February 2001 after graduating from the three year program, Business Administration, Accounting at Lambton College. Annette obtained her Certified General Accountant designation in November 2008, as well as Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University. In 2011, Annette furthered her education in obtaining a public accounting license. Annette became a partner of the firm in September 2014.

Since beginning a partner, Annette has offered financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, personal and corporate income tax preparation, auditing and review engagements and business planning for independent/owner managed businesses, partnerships and entrepreneurs.

Debra J. Taylor

Debra J. Taylor was originally from Milton. She now resides in Sarnia where she is president of Debra J. Taylor, Professional Corporation. The firm provides financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, controllership duties, business planning, personal income tax preparation and corporate income tax preparation to individuals, independant/owner managed businesses, partnerships, and entrepreneurs.

Debra is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant (FCPA, FCGA). She also succeeded in attaining the Certified Financial Planners designation.

Debra was granted the Fellowship award (2011) from CGA Canada and from CPA Ontario was granted the Fellowship award (2014) and a Life Membership (2018 ) for outstanding service to the profession. She has served on the Board of Director’s for CGA Ontario and CPA Ontario.  She retired from CPA Ontario Council in 2018 after serving in her last year as Treasurer of the Council.

She has served on the Board of Director’s for Sarnia-Lambton CGA and is a current member on the Board of Directors of CGA Ontario. She served eight years on the Board of Directors of the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce including Chair in 2011.

She has served on various non-profit boards. She has supported Junior Achievment for the last several years delivering Personal Economics. The Economics of Staying in School, and Dollars with Sense to grade 5, 7 and 8 Students throughout Lambton County.
